Apprentices all set for IFSEC Engineers of Tomorrow contest

This year's IFSEC International Exhibition kicks-off on Tuesday 20 June, opening its doors to thousands of security and fire safety manufacturers, influencers and delegates.

The three day conference takes place at London's ExCel Centre and those in attendance will be able to learn all about the very latest security products, fire safety technology and innovations hitting the market.

In addition to an array of trade stands, product demonstrations, exclusive speakers and networking opportunities, the show is also home to a unique competition, aimed at showcasing the talents of young security engineers in the UK.

The Engineers of Tomorrow competition, now in its 19th year, gives apprentices and trainees the opportunity to test their skills against fellow young engineers from security businesses all over the country. Entrants will compete in teams of two and take on a practical examination. The aim - impress the judges, win your heat, reach the competition's final and be named the overall winners, earning a share of £1,000 in prize money.

Allcooper are proud to have a pair of very talented engineers taking part this year. Meet #TeamAllcooper - consisting of installation engineers, Jonathan Ashmead and Sean Doel. Both Jonathan and Sean are part of Allcooper's successful apprenticeship programme, which includes working on a range of systems such as Intruder Alarms and CCTV. They are both completing their apprenticeships alongside Allcooper's apprenticeship training partners, SGS College.

We'll be keeping an eye on how Jonathan and Sean get on tomorrow, and would like to wish them all the best of luck in making it through to the final.

Good luck, lads!
