Allcooper joins forces with Gloucester City Safe

Allcooper is pleased to have become a member of Gloucester City Safe, a not-for-profit organisation that is helping to reduce crime across the city.

Gloucester City Safe brings the business community together to help report, solve and prevent crimes such as theft, anti-social behaviour and vandalism from taking place within the City Centre and surrounding areas. The City Safe model is also rolled out in Stroud as Stroud Safe.

In Gloucester, the scheme is backed by 200 members, who range from local bars and restaurants, to retailers, businesses and charities. Members are able to help reduce crime taking place in and around their premises by passing on information about known offenders and incidents.

Working in partnership with each other and Gloucester City Safe representatives, the aim is to make the city a safer place in which to work and live.

Allcooper Head Office in Kingsholm, Gloucester

Having recently moved its Head Office in Kingsholm, Allcooper is the latest business to become a member of Gloucester City Safe. Allcooper specialises in the prevention of crime through its range of electronic security systems, including Intruder Alarms, CCTV Cameras and Access Control technology. This fits well with the purpose of the scheme, making it a match that makes perfect sense.

As Manager of Gloucester City Safe, Steve Lindsay (pictured above outside Allcooper HQ) is the dedicated point of contact for all of the scheme's members. Steve has a long affiliation with Gloucestershire Police, and liaises with the Constabulary on a daily basis to pass on the vital information generated by its members. He is also responsible for a team of City Protection Officers (CPOs), who provide a reassuring daily presence on the street and during busy events.

Members benefit from access to a secure information portal where all details of reported crimes and offenders are shared. They can also choose to receive a radio device that allows them to communicate directly with Steve and his team of CPOs.

Commenting on Allcooper joining the scheme, Steve Lindsay of Gloucester City Safe said:

"I'm delighted to welcome Allcooper on board as a new member of Gloucester City Safe. We're always looking to add local businesses to our growing list of members, which will help with our aim of creating a really strong community focused on crime prevention."

Roman Cooper, Executive Director at Allcooper explained:

"Associating ourselves with local organisations that focus on crime prevention fits perfectly with everything that we do as a business. We enjoy similar successful relationships with Crimestoppers and Neighbourhood Watch schemes, and hope to make a positive contribution through our experience and expertise in the security field. Having recently moved our Head Office closer to the City Centre, the opportunity to join Gloucester City Safe was a no-brainer, and we're pleased to join lots of fellow Gloucester-businesses in supporting the scheme."
