Fast forward to present day, Allcooper has grown to become a widely-respected and well-known fire and security provider. Fully-accredited to NSI Gold standard and employing over 100 staff, the business continues to develop and expand whilst protecting thousands of homeowners and businesses.
Allcooper announced in 2015 that it had acquired a new premises at Kingsholm, Gloucester, which would become its new head office. The business relocated in June 2017 following a major refurbishment of the site, a former car dealership just a drop-kick away from Gloucester Rugby's famous Kingsholm Stadium.
ACQUISTION BY SECURITAS
On 1st April 2019, Allcooper became part of Securitas - the leading global security services provider. This was not a new relationship. We had worked with Securitas as one of their main technology partners for six previous years, helping design, install and maintain electronic systems into many large and complex sites.
1987 - Allcooper Alarms was established in Gloucester by father and son, Gerard and Gary Cooper.
1987 - Gerard's brother, Roman Cooper, joined the family business as its first apprentice shortly after it was established.
1990 - Allcooper moved into its first permanent premises in Oxstalls Way, Gloucester.
1993 - Relocated to Insley Gardens, Hucclecote, Gloucester.
1994 - Allcooper awarded the Gold Standard for security systems by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI).
1996 - Relocated to New Chambers, Hucclecote, Gloucester.
2008 - Winners of Coutts Family Business of the Year award.
2013 - Acquisition of South East-based security business, Meridian Surveillance Systems.
2015 - Opening of London office in Marble Arch.
2015 - Acquisition of West Midlands-based security business, Executive Security and office in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
2016 - Launch of Allcooper Garrisons and Gerard Cooper Security Consultants (private client security solutions and consultancy divisions).
2017 - Celebrated 30th anniversary and relocated to current head office at Kingsholm, Gloucester.
2019 - Acquisition by Securitas AB sees Allcooper become the first electronic security company acquired by Securitas in the UK.
