Gloucester-based leading IT, security and fire specialists, Allcooper, has scored a coveted new business win by becoming official technology partners to Gloucester Rugby Club. The highly respected premiership Club, famed for its international stars and legendary Kingsholm ground, awarded the contract to Allcooper after work the company completed in installing a complete technology infrastructure into the Club’s new 7,000 capacity south stand. |
Incorporating a state-of-the-art conferencing facility, the new stand is part of a £10 million pound rejuvenation program that Gloucester Rugby Club is currently undergoing and Allcooper have ensured that it comes complete with all necessary technology.
According to Allcooper Director, Martyn Smith, the solution provided covers all of the Club’s technology needs: “There were three main aspects to the installation at the Club. Firstly, Allcooper provided an IT solution including a wireless network to accommodate both authorised club personnel and the world’s press using partitioned channels. Secondly, we installed a security solution and access control system that can accommodate the huge numbers of people attending the Kingsholm ground. Lastly, Allcooper integrated the Club’s fire control system to the new stand, ensuring that all are well protected.”
“In addition, we installed a PA system, IP networked cameras for computerised match analysis and various other services. Moreover, Allcooper’s technical support team, Centrum, are also on hand twenty-four hours a day should any hitches arise.”
The company, Smith continues, are huge Gloucester Rugby Club fans: “We’re delighted to be working with the Club. Most of us have grown up with and supported the cherry and whites throughout our lives. This is definitely one contract that is close to our hearts.”
Sean Roberts, Operations Manager at Gloucester Rugby Club, echoes Smith’s sentiments: “Allcooper has ensured that we are all set for the opening home game. Throughout the whole of the project on the south stand they, like our players, kept their eye on the ball. We’ve been so impressed with Allcooper that we are happy to name them official technology partners – they are, after all, a safe pair of hands!”
The new stand will be unveiled at the Club’s opening home game against Worchester Warriors on Saturday 29th September.
